Second film of the filmmaker who made heads turn with his debut horror film ‘Demonte Colony’ has impressed again with a quality thriller this time. What makes the film worth a watch? Read on to know.

Anurag Kashyap is the learly the show stopper . His mannerism, body language, looks, efforts for lip sync and not to forget director Magizh Thirumeni’s dubbing, all of these make his every presence felt.

Nayanthara looks younger and pretty but play a role of a senior leaving the younger side to Atharva, who romances Rashi Khanna. As usual, the seasoned actress has pulled off her role of a CBI officer with ease.

Atharvaa and Rashi Khanna make a good looking pair. Their love sequences aren’t boring which doesn’t slow down the pace of the film. Songs from Hip Hop Tamizha Aadhi, though not his best, entertain well. Especially the songs ‘Kaadhalikkadhey’ and ‘Neeyum Naanum Anbe’ are great to listen. Aadhi’s background score is comparatively way better than the songs. Rudra’s Symphony and Lion vs Hyenas track are awesome piece of work.

Given the 2.55 hrs of runtime director Ajay Gnanamuthu has done a crispy screenplay with enough twists and turn to keep the engaging factor intact till the last moment. Every moment where the serial killer traps the CBI team doesn’t lose out on logic. However, the 1st half seems to move very fast than the second half.

Rating: 3 / 5

Verdict: An engaging thriller.
