Movie titled ‘URU” produced by V.P.Viji for Vaiyam medias, with Kalaiyarasan and Dhansika in lead roles, movie also has Mime Gopi, Daniel Anne Pope, Tamil Selvi, Karthika and few other supporting cast, Story,Screen Play and Dialogues written and directed by debutant Vicky Anand, He says “URU” means “Fear”,the script is written based on “Fear” so the “URU” title should be apt and we named the movie after it.
As per the script, Kalaiyarasan plays the role of a young out dated novel writer who writes traditional family Novels, His character is pushed to a state where his style of writing does not interest youngsters and he seems outdated among the new gen writers., so he plans to start his new thriller novel which focuses to attract youngsters, he travels to Megamalai and unusual things happen around him during that point is the rest of the story. Interesting fact is there is no intervention of ghost at any point in the movie.
Most of the shooting was taken in Kodaikanal. Most of the shoot happened in night time and we got into trouble few times because of forest buffaloes in forest which roam around as a gang, The shoot took place during the month of December. The climate was cold around 4-5 degrees, Kalaiarasan and Dhansika struggled a lot during the period of the shoot, Cinematography was handled by Prassana.S.Kumar, Music is composed by Johan. We are planning to release URU on May 19th.
