A full on political film for Dhanush and it has given a very high scope for his mass actions. Director Durai Senthil Kumar who gave us Ethir Neechal and Kaakki Sattai has delivered a commercial political film but with a different treatment.
Here the male and female lead lock horns for their political ambitions which is something new for the masses. Trisha, though not looking powerful as a tough contender for Dhanush, she has tried out something new apart from usual glamor.
Anupama Parameshwaran has done a great job in her very first Tamil dubbing for her role and this promises her to be a promising future talent in Kollywood considering the dream run of many Malayali actresses right from the 80s till date.
Trisha has played her part with confidence and Dhanush on the other side, has dual roles to score and he makes no mistake in making it count. SAC, as the ultimate authority of political party, has stuck to his space and made the most of it.
Santosh Narayanan’s music score multiplies the mass quotient for Dhanush and the songs ‘Ei Suzhali’ and ‘Kodi Parakkudha’ are the best hits of the album. Saranya Ponvannan and Kaalai Venkat are the other keynote performers.
Singamuthu has a paltry role to play which is of a comic relief in the second half. However, he has proved that he will be able to delivery rib tickling comedy all alone. Location hunting team needs a special mention as every outdoor scene personifies beauty.
