Most of us would have heard the word ‘Podhu Nalan Karudhi’ in News and through Public Service announcements that are screened in the theatres. Inspired by that word, debutante director Zion has come up with a unique story – Titled ‘Podhu Nalan Karudhi’. After assisting Director Ram Bala for the recent Box Office hit Santhanam starrer ‘Dhilluku Dhuttu’, debutante Zion has stepped into ‘Podhu Nalan Karudhi,’ which narrates the mindset of current youngsters. While Actor Karunakaran, ‘Thangamagan’ fame Aadith Arun, ‘Kadhai, Thiraikadhai, Vasanam, Iyakkam’ fame Santosh plays the male lead, the female lead roles are played by Malayalam Actress Anu Sithaara (Happy wedding) and Leesha (Mascara pottu Mayakuriey song fame). The film ‘Podhu Nalan Karudhi’ also has Yog Japee, Imaan Annachi, ‘Vazhaku En 18/9 fame Muthuraman, Super Good Subramani and Raja of ‘Subramaniayapuram’ fame in the pivotal roles. Bounded with bunch of young talents, the film ‘Podhu Nalan Karudhi’ went on floors today with traditional ‘Pooja’ in Chennai.
“Three youngsters from different social class enters Chennai to achieve something in their Life. Did they succeed or not, is the one – liner of our film ‘Podhu Nalan Karudhi’. There is an important social message that will be delivered to the audience. But please don’t think ‘Pothunalan Karuthi’ is a Serious or a sentimental film. We have added all the commercial aspects, that will act as a great entertainer for the audience…’ says Zion, the Director of ‘Podhu Nalan Karudhi’ in a confident tone.
