Dhanush’s direction debut Pa Pandi is a perfect family entertainer which talks about the life of senior citizens of a family. The second childhood is the most difficult part to cope up with.

It’s a fresh story which avoids comparisons and that’s a great start for the film. The first half shows the daily routines, frustrations and restrictions forced on parents by their children and of course the happiness of having a good time with their grandchildren.

The second half takes a U turn and show what happens if a frustrated senior decides to go by his will to get rid of all the glitches. This marks the feel good ride loaded with new adventures, flashback and interesting reunion.

Rajkiran has done his role to perfection. His English dialogues, emotions in both happy and sad, the childish behavior are great to watch. We must say, Dhanush has shown his directorial skills leveraging on the positives of his protagonist.

The technical team has Velraj as its cameraman and Prasanna GK as the editor who have neatly done their part. The dull sepia tone in the flashback is appropriate for the period it is set in. Sean Roldan has done a fantastic job with his background score and songs. The BGM is appropriate to the happenings on screen. Loads of feel good tunes stay with us when we leave the screen.

Prasanna is fit and fabulous and has played the role of a strict son well. Rajkiran’s grand children, Rinson, Chaya Singh and others are some of the best contributors to the film.

Dhanush and Mes to make an impact.

Verdict: A perfect family entertainer
