The Sunday evening was a much pretty special for the most celebrated classic personalities of film industry and journalism came together for an important occasion. Veteran actor Sivakumar and multi-faceted personality of Indian cinema K Bhagyaraj unveiled the book ‘Sagalakala Vallaban’, which is a journey into the world of Late ace journalist-writer and director Vallaban. This book embellishes the beautiful nostalgic memories of leading celebrities with this great person in words compiled by journalist Arul Chelvan, who had been an assistant to Vallaban.
Speaking on the occasion, actor Sivakumar said, “Vallaban was a man, who never compromises on anything. His genuineness in writing, insatiable passion for what he did has made him so much favourite of many. He has been and will be the inspiring emblem of journalists and writers.”
K Bhagyaraj added saying, “Sivakumar sir would always refer Vallaban as ‘Red Collar’, because he would never miss to grasp the even the minutest mistake of others. Learning a new language is something tougher and I personally experienced it due to my movies in Malayalam and my filmmaking in Hindi as well. But Vallaban, being a Malayali just gave his complete heart and soul into the passion of learning Tamil.”
Others present for the occasion includes writers and lyricists like Yugabharathi, Arivumathi, Ramadoss, journalist Devi Mani, Sivaraman filmmaker TJ Gnanavel (Kootathil Oruthan fame), filmmaker Perarasu, actor Rajesh, Chithra lakshmanan, and few more celebrities.
