Don’t judge book by its cover and so with this film’s title, if you’re brimmed with different perceptions. Incisively, a title like ‘Pathu Second Mutham’ would invariably derive us into preoccupied assumptions. Furthermore, for the voracious readers of Late novelist Sujatha’s works, one would significantly find the striking similarities for the name. But both these perspectives are cleared off by filmmaker Vincent Selva, who says, “Sujatha sir’s novel Pathu Second Mutham deals with a similar concept of cracking down a mystery over a span of limited deadline. So I got inspired and chose the title and the female protagonist in this film has to solve a baffling puzzle in the quickest move. Apart from these instances, there aren’t any other similarities for my film has a fresh script.”
The filmmaker has roped in newcomers to play the title roles excluding National award winning actor Thambi Ramaiah, who plays an important character. Opining upon the star-cast, “Soon after writing the script, it was evident that story and characterizations demanded newcomers. So we decided to go for them. The film deals with women trying to achieve what she desires enroute violent mode. To make sure that the raciness isn’t hampered, the film will not have any songs, only background score.”
Attractive new face Geetha plays the lead role alongside the new hero Sarish. Others in the cast include Mr India Srinivasan, who will be seen as antagonist and Power Star will appear in important character. The technical team includes Venkatesh (Cinematography), San Lokesh (Editing), Story and dialogues (JR Rubhan).
Lakshmi Talkies is producing this film, which is shot against the backdrops of Vagamon, Hyderabad and Kodaikanal.
